Special Issue Information

In our journal Progress in Immunology, a special issue is calling for papers about immune tests.

Immunology tests use an antigen to detect the presence of antibodies to a pathogen, or an antibody to detect the presence of antigens to a pathogen in a specimen. Immunology tests used in the laboratory are made by producing artificial antibodies that are an exact “match” to the pathogen in question. There are many different immunology tests for different medical conditions and purposes - for example, to test for allergies, screen for bowel cancer, or find out if a woman is pregnant. They can be used for routine tests in hospitals and laboratories, for quick tests at home by patients themselves, or in the clinics of family doctors and specialists. Immunology tests are carried out to find out the state of the immune system. If the patients are unable to fight off an infection, the doctor may order these tests to find out why. Immunology tests are also used to investigate the presence of autoimmune diseases. The immunology tests are done such as Autoimmune tests – ANCA, Alere HIV Combo - Rapid Test, ELISA tests, Lymphocyte Proliferation Test, PCR test, Mantoux test, Viral Load Assays, Flow Cytometry, Hepatitis B Surface Antigen, etc.

In this issue, we are looking forward to soliciting papers on immunology tests. The following topics are suggested but not limited to immunologic blood tests, immunology diagnostic tests methods, immunology tests for COVID-19, the market of immunology tests, advanced immune tests protocol, etc.
