Special Issue Information
In our journal Anti-Poverty, a special issue is calling for papers about anti-poverty programs all around the world.
As we all know, Anti-poverty is a very popular topic now. Anti-poverty programs include safety net policies like food assistance, housing assistance, and family tax credits to keep millions of people from poverty each year and reduce hardship for millions more.
In the USA, there are five main anti-poverty programs: Medicare, Medicaid, Unemployment insurance, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (Food Stamps), and Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF). In Columbia, anti-poverty programs are conducted as Child Tax Credit, paid family leaves, COVID-19 relief, subsidized employment programs, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), the Earned Income Tax Credit, and so on. In China, six precisions have been proposed to alleviate poverty: defining the poor precisely, arranging targeted programs, utilizing capital efficiently, taking household-based measures, dispatching officials based on village conditions, and achieving the set goals.
This special issue invites theoretical and applied cutting-edge research on anti-poverty programs. Potential topics include but are not limited to food programs, medical programs, education programs, infant programs, family tax policies, etc. We welcome active articles from scholars all over the world.
