Dear Colleagues,
Over the past two decades, there have been significant developments in the fields of quantum photonics, quantum communications, and information processing. Quantum Information Science is a vast field that uses the basic postulates of quantum mechanics to investigate information processing and data transmission, with a focus on secure optical communication. This field encompasses both theoretical and experimental aspects of quantum physics, including the limits of what can be achieved with quantum information. Recently, there has been significant growth in the experimental study of quantum communication in semiconductor materials due to their potential applications in semiconductor chips, optical memory elements, and photonic devices. Quantum qubits or multiple qubits with entanglement states are used as computer memory elements and processors, and can be implemented with atoms, ionized molecules, photons, or electrons, along with suitable control devices.
It is important to consider the development of quantum information processing in semiconductor and opto-electric materials and their potential impacts. Research articles and reviews in this area are welcome. Contributions are eagerly awaited.
