Dear colleagues:
The mechanics of vibration is an old discipline but always present and current in our applications and study of mechanical systems. Any rigid or flexible mechanical system is subject to mechanical vibrations that can be measured or not measured.
Topics Covered: Dynamics of Single Degree of Freedom (SDOF) systems; Dynamics of Multiple Degree Of Freedom (MDOF) systems; Damping; Fundamentals of analytical dynamics; Numerical techniques for the response of dynamical systems; Dynamics of continuous systems; Analytical and approximate solutions of continuous systems; Dynamics of discrete nonlinear systems and perturbation techniques; Static and dynamic reduction. Experimental vibrations measurement, damage for vibrations. Vibration analysis can detect problems such as:
Imbalance
Bearing failures
Mechanical looseness
Misalignment
Resonance and natural frequencies
Electrical motor faults
Bent shafts
Gearbox failures
Empty space or bubbles (cavitation) in pumps
Critical speeds.
We look forward to your contribution.
