Dear colleagues,

The growth in the societies mainly depends on the member’s ability to produce and control materials to meet their particular needs. For example, in olden civilizations members were sure by their level of development in relation to a particular material, which may be the Stone Age and the Bronze Age.

In the current situation, we are also implementing quite a similar trend in our society; still this is not related to a particular material, but rather to the capability to work with extremely for smaller materials.  From the decades, researchers and scientists are showed interest in the development of certain new materials and they also interested to improve the properties of materials, particularly with their sizes are controlled on a scale of a few atoms, typically close to 10-9 m (called a nanometer). The nanometer gives rise to a new science and technology field denominated Nano science and nanotechnology, which involves both nanostructures and nanoparticles.

Over the last decade, nanoscale triggered for the development in many technological expansion, such as in the field of memory devices, light emitting diodes, transistor, solar cells, negative differential resistance, switches, electromagnetic shielding, batteries, artificial muscles, sensors, antistatic coatings, corrosion inhibitors, anti-corrosive coatings, fuel cells, super capacitors etc. The great achievement on the nanotechnology is that the development of new materials and/or novel material structures either allows the development of new properties or improves their old properties, simply by reducing the feature size. In most cases, this will occur due to a reduction in particle size which increases the total active area and, consequently, enhances the chemical reactivity of the material. When the volume of the particle is reduced, the proportion of atoms on the surface changes drastically. In the present scenario, conjugated polymers play a key role in the device technology.

We welcome scholars to submit their excellent articles related to this field.
