Section Collection Information
The breadth of the field of study of aesthetics is not only due to the numerous range of artistic languages that exist today. In fact, this diversity is observed, first and foremost, due to the diversity itself that constitutes the human experience, both individually and collectively. Therefore, research in the field of aesthetics, more than appreciating formal issues, must focus on the deeper human issues communicated by the artistic object, understanding the complex relationship between form and content in the construction of expression. In this way, the Aesthetics Section aims to delve into the multifaceted realm of aesthetics, examining its relevance and application across diverse fields such as art, design, psychology, philosophy, literature, cultural studies, and beyond. We encourage submissions that shed light on the philosophical foundations of aesthetics, as well as those that explore its practical implications in creative endeavors, consumer behavior, and societal perceptions.
Papers submitted to the Aesthetics section generally cover theoretical discussions and critical analyzes within the various artistic languages, with a greater focus on cross-cultural perspectives on aesthetics, psychological mechanisms underlying aesthetic preferences, aesthetic education and its societal impact, aesthetics and ethics, technological advancements and their influence on aesthetics, among others.
