Dear Colleagues,

Digital Infrastructure and Platforms are the backbone of modern digital economies. They provide the necessary hardware, software, networks, and facilities upon which an organization's information technology services are built. This includes data centers, networks, servers, operating systems, and storage, which are used to deliver IT services and solutions. As businesses become increasingly digital, the importance of a robust, scalable, and reliable digital infrastructure cannot be overstated. It enables businesses to effectively manage, store, and process data, run applications, and deliver services to customers. Moreover, digital platforms play a crucial role in the digital economy. They create a space where businesses and customers can interact, exchange goods and services, and create value. Examples of digital platforms include e-commerce sites, social media platforms, and cloud computing services. These platforms leverage digital infrastructure to provide services to their users.

And here are some keywords related to this section:

Internet Backbone: This refers to the principal data routes between interconnected networks and core routers on the Internet.

Internet of Things/AIoT: This refers to the interconnected network of physical devices, vehicles, appliances, and other objects embedded with sensors, actuators, and connectivity, allowing them to collect and exchange data. The IoT enables these devices to communicate with each other and with centralized systems, creating opportunities for automation, efficiency, and new services. Moreover, Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) is a term that represents the convergence of AI technologies with IoT infrastructure to enhance and streamline processes, enable predictive maintenance, and facilitate real-time decision-making. Here's an example to illustrate the concept: Smart Home Automation

Automotive digital platforms and infrastructure: This refer to the technological systems and networks that enable connectivity, data exchange, and integration of various automotive components and services. These platforms and infrastructure play a crucial role in enabling advanced features such as vehicle-to-vehicle communication, telematics, autonomous driving, and connected car services. Here's an example to help illustrate this concept: Android Auto.

Broadband and Mobile Telecom: These are high-speed internet connections and digital communication suites, including applications.

Data Centers and Networks: Data centers are physical or virtual infrastructures used by enterprises to house computer, server and networking systems and components for the company’s IT needs. Networks, on the other hand, are groups of interconnected computers.

Enterprise Portals, Platforms, Systems, and Software: These are used by businesses to share information and collaborate across departments.

Cloud Services and Software: These are services made available to users on demand via the internet from a cloud computing provider’s server.

Operational Security, User Identity, and Data Encryption: These are measures taken to protect data and the identity of users.

Social Media Platforms: These platforms allow users to connect, communicate, and share content with others. Examples include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Knowledge Platforms: These platforms are used for sharing and gaining knowledge. Examples include StackOverflow, Quora, and Reddit.

Media Sharing Platforms: These platforms are used for sharing various types of media content. Examples include YouTube, Spotify, and Vimeo.

Service-Oriented Platforms: These platforms provide various services to their users. Examples include Uber, Airbnb, and GrubHub.

E-commerce Platforms: These platforms provide a space for buying and selling goods. An example is Alibaba)

Thus, we are interested in the digital platforms and infrastructure subjects in the framework of IoT/AIoT and embedded systems for automotive.  For this, it is important to collect the experiences of different computer engineering technologies that have been implemented and consider their impacts. Research articles and reviews in this area of study are welcome.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.
