Dear Colleagues,

As drones become increasingly common, their applications are gradually penetrating into more core fields in various industries, shifting old production and lifestyle practices. Given the ongoing global population expansion, the issue of food and clothes for humans is one that cannot be disregarded. However, with the evolution of organisms, agriculture also faces enormous challenges. For example, in order to reduce the impact of pests on crops, farmers usually spray pesticides. Over time, soil conditions such as humidity and pH will change, which is not conducive to crop growth, and can also damage the environment to some extent. For this reason, it is critical to apply pesticides precisely. Sensors in agriculture can monitor soil conditions in real time to determine whether it is suitable for pesticide spraying, minimizing the impact of pesticides on agriculture and the environment.

On the other hand, the application of drones in the environment can be extended to monitoring the changes and migration behavior of species in the environment, such as monitoring how the activities of insects and animals change with the environment, which is beneficial for protecting ecological diversity and promoting ecological balance.

For this reason, we are concerned about the monitoring issues of drones in agriculture and the environment, and their successful solutions can bring great convenience to our daily life. Research articles and comments about research in this area are welcome.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.
