In particular, there is a need for comprehensive coverage of the important state-of-the-art tools and techniques for the remote sensing. The environment is large and constantly changing, requiring thorough documentation to stay up to date with new developments. Examples of these technologies include satellite-based systems and aerial sensors. There exists close relationship between environmental studies and remote sensing. A few uses include tracking climate change, researching ecosystems, and evaluating natural disasters.
