Dear Colleagues,

One of the most important sustainable resources is mineral & geological resources. Meeting the demand for mineral products is crucial for sustainable development and social welfare. Mineral resources are the food of industry. First and foremost, a human being depends on minerals throughout his/her life. Throughout our daily lives, we use tons of mineral resources from birth to death. Without minerals and geological resources, it is not possible for us to live in health, safety and prosperity.

Recognizing the high importance of mineral and geological resources, the "Minerals and Geo-resources" Section includes all studies covering the sustainable exploration, extraction, exploitation, processing, and abandonment of mineral resources. We value academic studies related to environmentally sensitive mining activities and mining and post-mining land uses. We also emphasize sustainable resource policies, mineral waste management and recovery, OHS in mines, issues affecting the mining sector, and issues such as the feasibility of mines and the evaluation of mining projects. We therefore welcome submissions of original research analyzing public policy, economics, social sciences, geography, and finance in all areas of mining, non-fuel minerals, energy minerals, fossil fuels, and minerals. Papers on mining and sustainable development, mineral resource rents, mineral wealth and corruption, mineral taxation and regulation, strategic minerals, and their supply, and the impact of mineral development on local communities and/or indigenous peoples are also welcome - if from a sustainable resource perspective.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.
