Section Collection Information
Dear Colleagues,
Quantitative analysis focuses on determining the concentration or abundance of metabolites within a biological sample. This is essential for understanding metabolic flux, identifying biomarkers, and monitoring changes in response to different conditions. Recently, metabolomics and lipidomics making impact on the different areas of science and give special section of this journal. Qualitative analysis focuses on identifying and characterizing metabolites present in a sample without necessarily determining their absolute concentrations. This is crucial for discovering novel biomolecules and understanding metabolic pathways. The combination of quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques provides a comprehensive understanding of metabolites in biological systems. These approaches contribute significantly to fields such as metabolomics, systems biology, and personalized medicine by unraveling the complex network of biochemical pathways and highlighting potential diagnostic markers or therapeutic targets. This section cover the methods, analysis, and profiling, qualitative and quantitative analysis. Method development will be the part of the section. It will cover liquid chromatography (LC), gas chromatography (GC), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and mass spectrometery (MS).
