Section Collection Information
Dear Colleagues,
Several developments have been taking place of biomaterials based on their types from decades and are used in various applicable areas; primarily in the biomedical research. Advancements in modern medical technology have increased its attention to understand tissue generation, biomimetic materials design, nanomedicine and theranostics. A number of biocompatible biomaterials act as a replacement for soft and hard tissues. Biocompatibility of materials has met the requirements in several areas like in dentistry, orthopedics or surgery that leads to design bio-inert third generation biomaterials.
Therefore, we are interested to investigate a new class of biomaterials and their respective applications in biomedical applications not limited but in drug delivery, artificial organ design, lab-on- a chip design etc. Furthermore, we also interested in materials that may change the concept of nano-surgery or in orthopedics or dentistry and clinical testing of such biomaterials. This section attempts to provide a clear and summarized overview of the progressive applicability of biomaterials and its application in biomedical technology. We welcome research articles, reports and reviews in this area of study.
We look forward to receiving your contributions.
