Dear Colleagues,

Visual information is very important to humankind and occupies 75% of the total information form the surrounding environment. Computer vision and image processing simulate the function of human visual system and undertake a serials of the related work, such as visual system modeling, image and video capturing, image and video compressive sensing, image and video segmentation, image and video transformation, image and video compression, image and video transmission, video and video transmission, image and video rebuilding, image and video restoration, image and video analysis, image and video recognition, image and video classification, and image and video understanding. With the rapid progress of artificial intelligence (AI), such as machine learning, deep learning, metaverse, digital twin, digital human, chat generative pretrained transformer (ChatGPT) and AI generated content (AIGC), it is high time for researches to develop AI-based theories, methods, algorithms, systems and applications for computer vision and image processing.

Therefore, it is vital to gather the experiences of different AI-based approaches on computer vision and image processing that have been explored and consider their impacts. Research articles and reviews in this area of study are welcome.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.
