Section Collection Information

Dear Colleagues,

The "Structures and Vibrations" section of our journal focuses on the latest advancements, research, and applications in the field of structural engineering and vibrations. This interdisciplinary section brings together researchers, engineers, and practitioners to explore the analysis, design, behavior, and control of structures under various loading conditions. By examining the dynamic response, performance, and durability of structures, as well as the effects of vibrations, this section aims to advance the understanding and practice of structural engineering. Topics covered in this section include but are not limited to: structural analysis and design, structural dynamics, structural health monitoring, structural optimization, seismic engineering, wind engineering, vibration control, noise control, and the impact of vibrations on human comfort and the environment. Contributions in the form of original research articles, review papers, case studies, and technical notes are welcome, providing a platform for sharing knowledge and insights. The section emphasizes the development and application of innovative computational methods, experimental techniques, and analytical approaches to address real-world challenges in the design and analysis of structures. It covers both traditional and emerging materials, including concrete, steel, timber, composites, and smart materials, and explores their behavior under static and dynamic loading conditions. Furthermore, the section highlights the importance of sustainable and resilient design practices, addressing issues such as environmental impact, life cycle assessment, and energy efficiency.

By focusing on the "Structures and Vibrations" section, readers have the opportunity to access the latest research and developments in these fields and stay informed about the advancements in structural engineering and vibrations.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.
