Dear Colleagues,
the Silicon on insulator (SOI) has been considered as a important technology for a wide range of electronics industries including mobile, Internet of things (IoT), commercial and military applications. SOI technology has become vital for low-power, battery-operated portable systems, large-scale integrated logic and memory circuits with sub-nanometer features. SOI technology offers significant advantages in design, fabrication, and performance of many semiconductor circuits. It also improves prospects for extending Si devices into the nanometer region (<10 nm channel length).
The SOI technology based latest processors embedded in leading semiconductor companies include Intel Core i9, intel Xeon, Exynos processors and AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D. These processors provide superb performance in gaming, networking, security, military, photography, AI etc.
The research articles and reviews in the area of SOI technology, SOI fabrication, semiconductor devices, science and technology of electronic materials and nanotechnology are welcome.
