Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to contribute to the section “Data Mining Technology and Application” .

The explosive growth, widespread availability, and sheer volume of data, e.g., data from social networks, make our age a true big data age. Powerful and general tools are urgently needed to discover valuable information from these massive data and transform these data into organized knowledge. This need led to the birth of data mining, and the artificial neural network become a promising tool for data mining. This field is young, dynamic and vibrant. Data mining has made and will continue to make significant contributions in our journey from the data age to the human information age. Graph structure is a shared data structure of most big data, such that the graph learning is pivotal to data mining. Additionally, due to the inherent lack of label information in big data, unsupervised representation learning has become an essential key research in the field of data mining. Benefiting from the unsupervised learning technique, the large-scale pre-trained language model exhibits powerful representation capabilities, which as a powerful tool, further introduce insights to the field of data mining.

Thus, we are interested in the researches of proposing machine learning techniques to tackle the inherent issues of data mining, for instance, enhancing data mining model to understand graphs, unsupervised data mining for big data, the innate mechanism behind adopting the large-scale pre-trained language model to empower data mining, and applying the large-scale pre-trained language model to improve data mining within limited data.

For this, it is important to collect the experiences of various data mining techniques that have been implemented and consider their insights. Research articles and reviews in this area of study are welcome.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.
