Dear colleagues,

We are excited to announce the launch of a new section in Frontiers of Electric Vehicle Technology (FEVT) titled "Infrastructures". To enable the broad use of electric vehicles (EVs), which are becoming increasingly popular as the globe moves toward environmentally friendly and sustainable transportation options, it is crucial to establish reliable and effective infrastructures. In the challenges around climate change and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, EVs have emerged as a promising option. The infrastructure needed for charging, communication, and overall integration into current transportation systems presents significant problems that must be resolved if we are to realize the full promise of electric mobility.

This special issue seeks to give scientists, researchers, and subject matter experts from a range of fields a venue to share their ground-breaking work and contributions on the infrastructures that support the expansion and success of electric vehicles.

We welcome the submission of original research papers and review articles that examine many facets of Infrastructures for Electric Vehicles. The papers included in this special issue cover a wide range of topics related to EV infrastructures, including charging infrastructure deployment strategies, battery technologies, smart grid systems, energy-efficient buildings, wireless charging technologies, impact of EV adoption on power grid infrastructure, EV fleet management and optimization, cybersecurity and privacy concerns in EV infrastructure, and policy and regulatory frameworks to support the deployment of EVs and associated infrastructure.

We are looking forward to your insightful contributions to this special section on "Infrastructures for Electric Vehicles." Let's work together to create a connected, electrified, and sustainable transportation future.
